This month, we welcomed a group of Year 11 students from Newmarket Academy for an informative morning at Unisurge. The visit provided a great opportunity to learn more about a local employer and gain more insight into what we do.
The visit included a tour of the site, whilst the students observed the many stages involved in assembling and distributing specialist surgical packs used in hospital operating theatres across the country and beyond.
The group learnt about the steps we have taken to become a more sustainable organisation and how we are working with suppliers to reduce our overall carbon footprint.
Speaking to numerous members of our team, students were also able to find out about the skills and attributes we are looking for when hiring young people for our apprenticeship scheme.
